My drivers license is due for renewal - just had a reminder text from traffic dept

Has anyone renewed their license recently?

What do I need to take for renewal?

Do I need a no objection letter from my DH? If so - what is the wording and does it need to be in Arabic?

I've checked the website and can't find this info.

many thanks

I went to the traffic dept and they gave me a No Objection form for DH to sign and then told me DH has to come with me when I renew my license !!

I checked with the head of the licensing dept and she said yes bring husband

DH is working in Al Ain and can't come during their work hours and when he is home it's the weekend and the dept is closed.

Has anyone else renewed without DH being present ? How??

Thanks

Sorry, can't help but does that mean you've chalked up 10 years?

Not 10 yrs but 15 yrs - woohoo !

I had to do the driving test as no Aussie Embassy then so no license swap - back then license was only valid for 5 years - so this is my second renewal

When I applied for my license recently DH didn't have to do anything... didn't have to be there, sign any form, etc. I wonder why it would be different for a renewal.
